It would be politically smart to delay releasing this information as long as possible in order to use the "I told you so" approach to undermining his political opponents. This is a double edged sword. Playing politics with the threat of terrorism. I do not trust Pakistan. Trusting Pakistan today is similar to the the trust US placed in Osama during the war between the Soviet and Afghanistan or better still siding with Sadam in the 7 year war with Iran. Politics in that part of the world, since it is ingrained with faith in Islam is very complex. Today's friend becomes tomorrow's enemies. Look at it this way. As long as the tumor in the body is cancerous, it has the potential to get out of control. The best solution is take out the tumor.
