If the Indo-Pak ceasefire holds in the Apr/may timeframe, it will be good.

I think that might be a good bet. Both India and Pakistan have linked interests in undermining the Islamic militants and should cooperate towards that end.

The bluster of previous years might have been an attempt by both sides to feign approaching the brink of war between the two nations in order to frighten the detractors of the respective governments into containing their dissent.

That, in turn, IMO, may have satisfied the "pride" of both sides and permitted them to finally think about peace.

But you can be assured that the militants will attempt to break this ceasefire, if possible.
