It reminded me of the model the CBO uses and those guys are forever revising their figures to adapt to dynamic reality.

Btw, ...gold still looks good even though the economy has turned as well. That's the fear factor. A hedge against the unknown (terrorist attack).

Ending a two-year-old impasse, Pakistan threw open its airspace from January 1 to allow Prime Minister A B Vajpayee to fly directly to the SAARC summit a couple of days later, even as both sides began to prepare the ground for additional communication links, including the Samjhauta Express and the bus across the Line of Control from Srinagar to Muzaffarabad.

The announcement to simultaneously restore point-to-point services as well as allow overflights through Pakistani airspace was made today in the capital after a meeting between civil aviation officials from both sides.

Pakistan Offers to Withdraw Troops from Kashmir

In the latest peace offer to India, Pakistan says it is willing to withdraw its troops from the disputed territory of Kashmir.

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf says his country will withdraw the 50,000 troops it maintains in its portion of Kashmir if India agrees to follow suit.

Pakistani military spokesman Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan tells VOA that his side would also agree to partial withdrawals, such as demilitarizing the "line of control," or LOC, which separates the two sides.
