Great series of posts. I totally agree with your pov. The 1940s Japanese military culture was one of cruelty and mindless fanaticism. Nuking Nagasaki and Hirosihma was 100% justified. (Of course, the USA followed this with General MacArthur's compassionate and pragmatic administration of a defeated Japan, also appropriate and as we now know, wildly successful).
