If a dirty bomb goes off in some large American city and +1,000,000 people die, don't you think drastic action would be appropriate to secure the peace?

Absolutely, and BUSH/CHENEY 1984™ and the rest of their "secret government" co-conspirators and perpetrators should be rounded up and executed.
