WORST PRESIDENT CONTEST: NAME THAT LOSER Lizzie, We could have a "WORST PRESIDENT" contest on the thread. My vote is for Bush 43. I believe that although Harding intended to be as corrupt as Bush is and just as prone to crony capitalism, that in comparison he was relatively ineffective. Additionally, Harding was no dangerous imperial fantasist and fanatic. Bush is both. I don't see anything in Harding's record that is remotely as tainted as the present level of corruption or the global reach of mendacity and hypermilitarism combined with naked aggression. userpages.umbc.edu
