Despite the political disagreements between the US, France, Germany etc, I see no reason their Intelligence communities would fail to work together against terrorism. I concur. But we also could see some political factions in certain countries playing some interesting "games".. Remember, there's a lot of oil at stake here and many of these intelligence officials might not like terrorists, but might dislike US plans for restructuring their regimes even less. Because such restructuring can impact them personally (and financially). Hawk
