IMO, Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh et al are simply mining the easy-to-manipulate for as much cash as they can take. The right-wing extremists are nearly pure emotion as is evident from their posting habits here. They latch onto any hate-filled sound bite and that becomes their entire concept of a subject. They lower the value of others and, bingo, they feel temporarily superior. It's much easier to denigrate others than to actually do something useful for the world. It's pathetic but it can be easily exploited by those who care only for their bank accounts.
