...and here a small aside about Bugs, our hero. First of all, what hero is named Bugs, other than a cartoon character? Furthermore, he obviously has had no experiences with the Aprils (which happens to be my dog's name) of the world. They, like Brandis and Bambis, are out for one thing: money!!!

Now back to our story......

April, scantily clad, had mesmerized our hero, who had apparently lapsed into shallowness. But Muffy, made of sterner stuff, recognized these signs and determined to take action. Why? Well, she loved him! So, Muffy swimmingly sauntered over to Bugs, who was gawking at April, gently touched him, and then took his hand. Bugs slowly turned to Muffy, with awe in his eyes, and.....

Bugs responded lovingly to Muffy's touch ... but love wasn't on his mind at the moment.

Bugs Pond (our hero!) knew instinctively that the nudie girl was just a ploy by the "Black Corporation" to direct his attention elsewhere.

"A nudie cutie is the only thing in a crate that measures 8' x 16'? Yeah, right", mutters Bugs.

So, he took Muffy by the hand and found a hiding place behind a large tree and waited for what he knew was coming next.

Sure enough, after everybody's attention was directed towards the strip tease act at the bar, two burly apes came from behind the snack bar and stepped into the water. One of them went inside the crate, then attached a rope to whatever it was that was still inside. The two men grunted and strained as they pulled it out.

Bugs couldn't tell from the distance exactly what it was. But, he knew it was black (of course it was ... it came from the "Black Corporation").

Bugs got out his Mini-scope (Model X31) and zoomed in on the object.

"Whoa! This is trouble!", Bugs gasped ...
