When I first met you on the Elian thread (how long ago WAS that!) I was totally intimidated because you knew when to use THAT and WHICH and you said their misuse was a pet peeve of yours. I started rewriting all my sentences to avoid using them for fear of calling your disapprobation upon me. Soon I was avoiding all compound sentences and clauses completely and writing simple sentences with a noun and verb and sometimes a daring direct object. I don't know when I stopped worrying but I admit I have never quite felt as relaxed about those words again, which is probably good.

I am off to get my haircut, which (look! I used it! Was it correct?) might be good or bad for my mental state. Then I start two weeks of rehearsals for several shows and recitals. This has been fun and relaxing for me; I thank you all.
