Well? This IS Bush's FIRST term. The SECOND one starts 13 months from now, so I couldn't really compare second terms, now could I?

But if it helps your case, wages DID rise faster during the bubble term. Surprising, huh? Well, not really. Bubbles are great... until they aren't.

Anyway, here are the numbers: Real wages rose 49 cents in Clinton term 2 for an eight year gain of 55 cents, 0.89% per annum. Bush's record, OTOH, shows a 27 cent gain in 34 months, or 0.95% per annum.

Meanwhile, Bush inherited a popped bubble and saw recovery interrupted by terrorist mass-murder. Clinton inherited a recovery and the "peace dividend" from the ending of the Cold War.
