Clinton was much more fiscally conservative than Bush.
He also created more jobs that Bush could in a lifetime.
There was practically zero unemployment in the US. Anyone who wanted a job could get one. Plus, peace on earth and harmony with our allies. A fine job in the Balkans with our allies and not a single US life lost. The list of amazing feats goes on and on.

Of course Clinton had a few drawbacks. Who doesn't? But anyone who denies his success is just a jealous, sour grapes revisionist historian. The whole reason behnid Whtewater was to try and bring down the most successful president of our time. They couldn't beat him on anything so they went after his one achilles heel, his sex life.
For shame on the accusers more than the offender in that case.

<Those of you that think Clinton did a fine job remind me of the young man just out of college who got a slew of credit cards. He had a BLAST buying way beyond his means and ultimately running up a debt he couldnt afford and went bankrupt. Clinton was a feel good kind of guy, he ignored major problems and lived for the good times of the day provided for him by the former Bush and his economic policies. Now we all have to pay the piper. jdn >

Talk about revisionist history! Clinton handed the Bush-monkey a budget SURPLUS moron! Bush not only blew the surplus, he then began to spend ( John McCain's words ) "like a drunken sailor" to dig us the deepest debt hole EVER IN HISTORY! In THREE YEARS! What is the fiscally responsible choice, "tax and spend" Democrats or BORROW and SPEND Republicans?

How ironic! You could be describing what is happening right now! Of course, you are not. You think this so-called economic recovery is based on something other than what you describe above?!
