We're all in this together, my friend. Facts will help get us out. It'll take more than that, but that we need at a minimum. I'm a bit of an alarmist when it comes to the next 20 years, along the range of Bill Joy's "The Future Doesn't Need Us", even as I'm reading Robt Wright's "NonZero". The first assumes our race with the technical ability for smaller and smaller groups to create ever-larger global disasters will be lost. The latter, while not exactly a rebuttal, attempts to make the other case.
