The administration did not have to say anything.
They certainly didn't say much about Shoshana Johnson.

The PPIC et al didn't care about Jessica Lynch, the soldier. They simply wanted a photo-op. The had visions of Jessica Lynch Barbie dolls with an RPG instead of Ken and a Bradley instead of a convertible.

I don't think they have, to this day, taken back their absurd story and they're still largely ignoring the true hero of the day.
