Holiday Shopping Season Starts With A Sputter 12/02

The latest chain store sales figures are a telling sign of the shaky state of consumers and the economy. Instinet Research reported a 2.8% decline in retail sales for the month of November. And according to the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, chain store sales fell 0.1% in the week ending November 29. Keep in mind that that includes the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is traditionally among the busiest shopping days of the year.

LOW's at a real critical point going into the last hour. Right at 50 day MA, and not far from bottom of Bollinger band. Money flow is awful, and RSI has been deteriorating. Divergences everywhere, and looks like a classic topping pattern?.
