Imagine this scenario: You own 500,000 shares - a product of years of dip buying accumulation. You tell your "In House" buying department to buy up 40,000 shares. That move drives the price up from below 15 to 17.00. Lets see - you probably have an average cost of say 11.00 ish (maybe high). Your acquisiton of 40,000 at an average of 16 cost 640,000 bucks.Your existing position went up a settled .66 cents x's 500,000.The hole portfolio went up $330,000. If you did a bad job buying low that 640,000 purchase price cost your account 310,000.Looks to me like you just paid way too much and yet you have actually increased your purchasing power. I'd say tomorrow looks pretty Rosey. You might want to shake out the speculators that were riding on your coat tails that don't have a low adjusted cost - sounds like a reasonable manipulative theme to me.GG I don't think I'd wait too long before I'd like to do that again. All the fund managers have floated trial balloons like this before and they've seen the price tracks made. Check out long term monthly charts and these "false starts are foot prints that draw the close attention of other fund managers. They have all risked $$$$$ to see what the reward would be. These are trial balloons that send very strong signals out to the silent players. You'll never hear about these signs.It is the bi product of playing the big leagues.
