RE>>But, I'll assure you, I've been wrong before!<<

How refreshing Alan

I wish I could say the same - kidding.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father,
but is of the world.

It appears a major portion of the battle is that
there is the doctrine of Christ and the character of Christ.

It appears easy for men to adopt doctrine be it right or wrong
but few of us can put on the character of Christ.

What then is more important - to know or to do?

I find myself quite wearied by men who profess to know Him
but in works utterly deny Him - most of them leaders of churches.

I am far from settled on these things Alan.

They are not as plain as many would have us believe.

I am not however bound by the doctrines of men or the testimony of creeds.

The Lord alone is Lord of my conscience and I am bound to nothing other
than scripture.
I have no agenda as I belong to no denomination.

I do not care what the truth is - only to be free to find it.

I have had enough of men who judge on God's behalf or plainly put
condemn anyone who does not agree with their dogma.

I have changed very much through the years concerning the revelation of God.

I am however disappointed in myself as far as attaining to His character.

I often think I am waxing worse and not better -
my faithful fan club (wife) tells me I am not near as bad as I was.

That is a compliment - I think?

Brian
