Blanchard must have some unexplained motive....

It is likely that Blanchard is a stand-in for other proponents of this suit and most likely has their assistance in financial and legal backing. In order to bring this suit the plaintiff must be an entity that can demonstrate substantial injury from the actions of the defendant or it does not have standing to sue. Clearly, if what is alleged is true, other gold companies were injured as well as ordinary investors in their shares and holders of gold. But, for whatever reason, none were willing to stand up to Barrick and J.P. Morgan -- these are powerful entities after all and, if GATA is correct, also have the power of the Fed behind them. Blanchard, a small and a seemingly unlikely opponent, is the perfect David for these Goliaths.....but clearly there is a small army in the background watching the fight and ready to run into the field to pick up the pieces when it concludes.
