This misconception about us wanting their oil is RIDICULOUS. It will be YEARS if ever before their pipelines, refineries etc etc can be brought up to par to pump out anywhere near what they are capable of and it will NEVER happen without the aid of the West. Oh my goodness, you are incredibly naive and you are also completely wrong. -Wolfowitz said that Iraqi oil would pay for the cost of the war. Go argue with Wolfowitz about the importance of oil. He didn't say we'd have to stabilize the country (flowers and flags remember?) or invest heavily in infrastructure. He didn't have a cent in the budget for that. The West is not going to invest a DIME there until STABILITY and SECURITY is reached. Oh my goodness. We're investing $20 billion in reconstruction right now through non-compete contracts to Bush family friends. This is about fighting terrorism INTERNATIONALLY and having a Democratic Stable Regime in the HEART of the land of terrorism will go a LONG WAY toward that end. Oh my goodness. There was no HEART of terrorism in Iraq until the Potted-Plant-In-Chief dared armed extremists to attack our soldiers there ASAP. Argue again with Wolfowitz about 911 as he disagrees with you. The PPIC et al is fighting tooth and nail to prevent a democratically elected government from taking root. They don't care about democracy, they care about power, control and money. They didn't care about democracy in the US either which puts them in the threat-to-America camp. It sadddens and alarms me that any adult can be as gullible and as divorced from reality as you are.
