I'd say that there are bound to be ideologues on both extremes of the 'social liberal/conservative spectrum'... but anyone who closes their mind to objective reality, and will not modify their assumptions and beliefs when faced with compelling evidence or logic, who is so closed-minded as to ignore any facts which vary from their conceptions... anyone who remains willfully ignorant is just a sorry excuse for humanity.
