This Congress has rolled over on any number of issues. It doesn't take much name-calling for those on both sides of the aisle to cave. It all depends on the unforseeable future but even asking for draft board applications shows the admin's hand. Unless stability improves in Iraq, the only other solutions would include added incentives for new volunteers. Given the media attention on the treatment of soldiers in this war, however, it will take some serious incentives especially if the economy really picks up.
