I was addressing ACFMike's question from an angle where I think ACF Mike was talking about some sort of a defining event, perhaps a cataclysmic breaking point in the financial markets by which the media will pronounce, 'oops, folks, we are in deep sh*t now', and by which the common folks come to the realization that past performance is not indicative of future prospects.

There may or may not be a defining event. After all, Japan did not have any defining event since 1989 as its assets meandered downward in valuation.

We shall soon find out ... only 13 months to go :0)
