If you bothered to check, the report was oral, not written, although he did submit a written expense report with his invoice to the government. The guy went to Niamey for a week and caught up with his old pals from his days in the NSC. He was debriefed by the CIA when he got back to Langley, but never submitted his own written report.

I expected you to question that fact since you are the only one around here even less informed than orcaslanter.

Tenet now asks to take responsibility for the British intelligence report that appeared in the State of the Union message. "The British government has learned that that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium," read the State of the Union speech, ignoring Ambassador's Wilson's report.

Given CIA failures of recent years after Clinton outed it (Cli'ton NEVER, EVER met with the CIA chief while in office -- isn't that extremely odd?), it might be more prudent to trust the Brits.

And who knows what role the Italian president--who supported the American president in the Iraq war--played in in the Niger uranium matter? Did he not own the news journal which published the initial Niger uranium reports? And what did the international journalists who followed up do? What did the Bush-Cheney Administration do? Here's a good one: What did the American journalists do? Amd, finally, what were the American people led to think?

Hey, why'd we got to war?
