Life is too short to be indoctrinated, or a slave to anyone or anything ... and with death as the denouement
one would tend to conserve energy , seek beauty in the most elemental forms that can be grasped .... learning to row your
own canoe & just use well the days .<G>

Does a slave have free will even though he suffers constant indignity ?
newadvent.org

To be free requires constant vigilance as well as charity ....yet to have free will requires one to be
constantly willing to persevere and endure.

(and as ever always , you are what you consume and what you may conserve/preserve ...in today's world , one's own
sanity always a good place to start!)

* Raising kids on cartoons, game boys and sugar frosted flakes , does tend to dilute the perception a bit . But there's always CNN and Fox News to balance the diet out . Boredom is such a universal constant , but goes hand in hand with having free will.

"Solon wants a God/State to be Santa Claus"

No--not at all. I don't want a "God/State"--period. I want the State to protect people from God organizations who would usurp the right to determine right and wrong and to set punishment. I want people to live together on a rational basis under a system of rights and freedoms--including the freedom to worship.

I don't know what any of that has to do with Santa's claws or any other nubile young elf, though I admit that I vote for these provocative creatures more often than not...
