>>> You and the other revisionists of history are the dishonest ones. It's easy with 20/20 hindsight to criticize anyone's decision about anything and the real-time interpretation of the facts that went into making it.<<<

Hey, didn't I see you on SI's Don't Start the War and the Stop the War threads? What am I writing today that was any different than what I was writing then?

I predicted on the Sunday (or was it Monday) before it happened, that Brits would die as a result of Bush's visit to England. Think that was factored into the US intelligence? How could lil' ole' me know this and they not know that?

Geez, you act like Bush didn't know what he was doing when he illegally invaded Iraq in order to take out someone that had as much chance of harming America as does Al Sharpton at being elected president in the next election. But the war action sure looked good to some genuinely concerned US citizens. Not all of 'em, but with good US PR propaganda just over 50 percent was gotten in order to support going in.

And, of course, we had all of those soldiers over there in wait and ready. We couldn't just pull 'em back, could we? Not according to GOPwinger thinking!

And, more of course, once the war was on and the terror was still in the mill, this covered nicely for many of Bush's deficiencies as a leader. For example, how he got elected in the first place!

Believe me, there are violins playing in the background every time you see Bush take a stage. The good stages, of course, are where there's teleprompters and a nice friendly supportive audience. Otherwise, he'll talk to kids without one. And you think America is better? Well, I assure you, historians will play their violins also and it'll be to a tune not too favorable to George W. Bush.

Meanwhile, it's poor us and poor them!

State one reason that Bush gave for going to war and show evidence that it was true....
