It is not the role of the courts to add additional exemptions. Mary, I don't think you can get any more of an endorsement than that. It would be quite ambitious for a court to assert they are more accurately interpreting a law than the primary author. But, again, you are asking a court to not just say "oops", but to nullify an entirely completed trial and everything stemming from it. I can't see them doing so, yet, I truly believe they have no choice. I suppose, as a long shot, perhaps the judges will do a mea culpa citing the newness of the law and how it's a learning experience for all of us. Thus, I stand by my prediction the judges will simply affirm their decision with little comment and the Supreme Court will overturn it. - Jeff
