Bush policies: Increase Defense spending with wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; Increase Domestic spending with huge ag subsidies, huge energy subsidies; No cuts in other spending; Tax cuts - especially for the wealthy. What happens? national debt increases by $609 billion in 12 months. This is not temporary problem. This is long term structural problem. Deficit is equal to 25% of the budget.
