Not true, Sam. Odd lots should be handled through DOT, the same way any order under 10,000 shares is handled. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, an odd lot order should be filled exactly the same as a 400 share order.

The main dividing line on the NYSE in order handling is block vs non-block orders, with block defined as 10,000 shares.

Actually I wasnt thinking of the odd lot purchases, just weird things I have noticed over the years, like the guy seems to show up to work late every day. jdn
