Depending on the circumstances, I would think so.

I have been told that the NYSE's system for retail orders is a bit different, and that for orders under 1,100 shares the conduit is Direct+. Nevertheless, we're talking about an odd lot, so it should be handled the same way any order under 1,100 shares is handled. If you want to PM me the specifics I might be able to help a bit more.

One other thing, the definition of a block trade in certain circumstances has moved to 15,000 shares.
