Jesus had a meditative practice... that He taught to followers, that Took Him into Union with The Divine .... 'I and The Father are One' Most knowledge of these Secret Teachings has been 'lost' or kept from the average person. The Essene Teachings come to us from The Dead Sea Scrolls...which The Catholic Church has made Its best efforts to keep hidden.. Searching through the actual words of Jesus...we still can read "Be STILL and Know that I Am God" The ..Stilling 'of the mind'..is The Core practice among most Mystical Traditions........ Buddhists follow The Breath.. (Spiritus..(a Christian term) means.. "Of the Breath"..in Latin) The jhanas..(Buddhist terminology) translate as "Absorption States"....... Religious Experiences (The Jhanas for Buddhists) may be Peace.....Ectasy..... (Pure) Love........Sympathetic Joy.......Ect.. For the Successful practitioner... absorption can last for a very long time........ (The Experience of The Eternal Now is one of The Blessings one attains for .."Right Effort").... Interestingly........ These Absorption States are FAR more delightful... than sex. The Great paradox of The Jhanas is.. If 'You' WANT them... 'You' cannot have them... They come as Gifts The Loss or 'Sacrifice' of self equates with Union with God "The Kingdom of Heaven IS ..Within" (no golden robes......halos....feathery wings in an after life) This is The Truth.. that Jesus taught IMO....
