Kenneth you cant in your right mind feel we ought to cut defense spending right now. That was what Clinton did and look what happened. Like it or not the defense budget (I include the fight against terrorism in that budget) is going to go much higher IMHO. The alternative cannot even be considered. I dont know a lot about current AG subsidies but I have agreed in the past we ought to eliminate the ones being scooped up by mega farms, I can see something for family farmers but thats it for me. Energy subsidies, I thought that bill didnt get passed. Should have been, but it wasnt. You want the USA to become more energy effecient and utilize alternative energy who do you suppose is going to foot the bill for that? Santa Claus isnt, he uses Reindeer. jdn
