Yes Neville Chamberlain is their hero. Thank goodness Bush has the sense to do what needs to be done whether it's popular or not. Can't help but admire a man who does the right thing and doesn't need a poll to figure out what that is. A totally foreign concept to the far left, do the right thing, popular or not.

"When discussing the economy, the dems and left want us to
forget about 9/11 and its shock to the economy."

Don't forget that we had the Clinton recession <gg> which
was preceded by the bursting, grossly overvalued market
bubble. And history shows that all bubbles end up with
severe economic downturns that also bring the markets back
to below historical P/E levels. Dramatically falling or
rising stock markets have more effect on an economy than
almost anything the government does.

The demoncrats love to falsely pin the recession on Bush.
They also want to ignore the historic realities of stock
market bubbles, which Clinton's bubble was one of the
largest in our history. The economic trauma of the
bursting bubble was made significantly worse by the economic
costs of 9/11.

Lizzie's distorted views blaming Bush are disingenuous &
lacking any reality, but they are the mantra of the left.
IMO, government gets too much credit & too much blame for
the economy. There are just too many things the effect the
economy. It would take radical changes implemented by the
government over a period of years to have it be the main
reason for economic upturns or downturns.

And IMVHO, we are fortunate that we are not in a severe
recession with the NAZ at or below 1000. I find it hard to
believe it is different this time. Perhaps the bear isn't
over & we will still see history repeat itself. Perhaps
not.

If it doesn't happen, perhaps we can legitimately give
Bush some credit. Demoncrats will never, ever agree though
<gg>.
