Thats right, some stocks below $1 did really the big run. But then you may expect casualties which eat into the performance. Last year, quite couple of them (ALGX, FAOO, RBAK, SBLU, TWK) bit the dust with FAOO having the dubious pleasure of going BK twíce in the same year. Others meanwhile (STOR, TELM, DLIA, HAND, EDSN) merged or disappeared, so from the original portfolio only the half is trading.

It seems that many low priced companies are "cheap" for one good reason: They might be worth zero in due time so lets hope the next years picks survive some 3 to 6 weeks until the January effect has been consumated.
