not too sure what you want to call addiction but it is true some people are physcially subject to addiction more than others. They have isolated a gene in the system of the alcoholic. Now i am now going there as i have no knowledge in it. But will accept professional judgements of those who study this matter. Again there are thousands of reason why people become addictive. It does run in some families for generations. I am sure there are many that get addicted to abuse of the drug and nothing to do with a gene being over active in their system. By heavy drinking over a period of time the body and nervous system breaks down.. some like Churchill and others drank heavy everyday and it never bothered them others it can kill them quickly. Know nothing about folks who use alcholic as a disease as a crutch so i cannot go there.
