I was surprised how inexpensive the shipping charges were. My package was 17 pounds and I sent it priority mail for $23. There is a lower rate I could have used that was $7.

All US mail sent to APOs (Army Post Offices) or FPOs (Fleet Post Offices) has to originate at a US Post Office. FedEx and UPS are not options. There was also a short customs form I filled out. Also in Muslim countries, pork and pork by-products are prohibited.

All packages sent to military post offices also have to be addressed to an individual or job title such as "Commanding Officer."

Operation A/C is great. Supporting our troops is the least we can do and all of us should be mindful of the sacrifices and perils of those who are far from home particularly during the holiday season.

All the Best,
Josh
