Your message is exactly what makes Dean unelectable. WRONG! My message is what makes ME unelectable. Dean isn't even close to saying the things I do. But you have to face facts American Spirit, the U.S. military was sent to Viet Nam to abuse and to steal from a Third World nation. This is not something that any mercenary who volunteered for duty there should be proud of. It goes against every principle of decency upon which this nation was purportedly founded. Of course, millions of us know that all the flowery rhetoric about liberty, equality and fraternity was merely a glib cover for a system that has since its inception been engaged in ruthless campaigns against people of color across North America and now the world. Kerry certainly fits into the mainstream, as far as conventional wisdom in America is concerned. I had hoped that you would have had the empathy with others to see his role in Viet Nam through the eyes of his victims. Alas, you don't seem to be capable of adapting a sanguine and neutral enough view of reality in order to understand it. You still have the blinders of an insensitive and churlish patriotism (as aggressive grasping) to try to overcome.
