"Where did Mr. Bush's passion for making the Arab world safe for democracy come from?"

9/11 changed everything, including how Bush viewed the
world, what needed to be done to make us safe from
terrorists & how the governments of Arab World were a huge
part of the solution.

"But the fact is, Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg Address himself. Mr. Bush's democracy speeches were written for him."

That is pretty lame IMO. I sincerely doubt the speeches
are written by others independently & Bush simply delivers
them. I'd be shocked to learn that he played only a small
role in what goes into his speeches. It goes against what
we've heard how he runs things in the WH.
