Yes because it's priced in USD. But if it's priced otherwise it is decoupled from that currency effect which of course could be even worse for both the US and China... Of course oil could also go down in real terms vs say the loonie just like the renimbi could actually go down if decoupled...
NG seems to be outpacing oil not up merely as a result of the USD decline but irrespective of it.. I'd like to see the currency effect out of the way... oil suffers the same fate as gold for now with more wrinkles of course.

If we really are in depletion mode on NG and getting ready to hit peak global production for oil har har I guess miost of us have our doubts ;o)

I don't know if the trusts are safer either but I choose to be diversified. I have trouble handling the volatility in metal sometimes. I'm up about the same as last year now without the wild swings... I sleep better.. I really had a 'Black Day in July' on the first run and gave back a good chunk of winnings... much more than I care to think about :o)
