lovely how sandisk came out this weekend and raised their estimate of what they think they're going to make in the future.

reeks of desperation, really. putting out new guidance on a SATURDAY just after your bubble-mania stock has collapsed over the last week in the biggest fashion in months? oh yeah, its just a coincidence.

the market is going to punish them on monday. when execs start getting desperate and playing the stock pump-and-dump scam, investors have learned to start running for the hills.

nancy-

1. Eli has been trying to drive down the price of flash for years. it is elastic.

2. cf, sd, mini sd, mmc, multi layer etc are not exactly commodities. you for instance would be sued if you sold them without paying royalties. see there is a difference between these nifty little products and for instance coffee or orange juice or for that matter any commodity.

so although some posters here have been using the expression "commodity" it is in this context wrong and thos that use it demonstrate that they haven't the faintest idea what this company does and over the last seven years or so we have had many who posted like this and SNDK eps and revenues have grown despite all the dire warnings in their posts.
