Hi Peter:

<even as a less than spiritual experience, in the right back streets of the right north italian town this already struck me as the only fully deserved usage i have ever encountered of the word 'correct'...>

LOL: You certainly know what I am talking about

I used the word “Spiritual" in both meaning of the word:
The grappa I am talking about is the first distilled and unfiltered litre of the entire batch: at 90% alcohol is pure spirit. A few drops is all what you need.
The place is indeed an old osteria in the back streets of small villages at the foot of the Alps, away from tourists. There the local gather at 6 am for their first caffe’ corretto of the day, getting ready for the hard work ahead, talking about the joys and tribulations of life in simple, witty and savvy ways. Hence: a spiritual experience.

Take care – Anna

PS: Should we name next venture: Golden Caffe’ Perfecto?
