Your knowledge of facts is only exceeded by your naivite. Bush appointed an SEC chairman named Harvey Pitt who, at his first public appearance, said that "the SEC should be kinder and gentler to business." Under his watch, the Enron filings were not scrutinized properly, among many others. He had to resign in disgrace. Did you forget about that one?
