Participative democracy requires a bit of understanding -by the governed- of how the three independent powers work. Politicians discovered that the participants were not interested in the essence of the process.

How many % vopte in an elcetion in the US? In Brazil and Argentina, vote is not a right, it is an obligation!! Vote or you face a fine.

They discovered that the participants wanted only a piece of the action and assured politicians will have carte blanche if they give them a piece of the action.

Of course the opossite oif representative democracy is not dictatorship, it is reformed representative democracy. But there are strong forces against reform in any single country in the world.

Let's use an example where the citizens are, in average much better educated than the other countries: Case in point Germany. People are much political aware than other countries. They can't reform anything there. Every single being has a little from the system. Touch one you touch all. Meanwhile it follows a Jay script, everybody going down happily lips clinching the teat from where they suck the state's milk.
