OT - Yes, the reviews of the 2004 Toyota Prius Hybrid I have read are all positive. The one drawback they say is to expect real world milage to be closer to the mid 40s MPGs than the mid 50s MPGs. Which has to make you wonder if it's worth buying the Prius or another hybrid like the Honda Civic, or even a conventional high milage car?!? I'm thinking my next purchase will be a hybrid SUV like the Ford Explorer or Toyota Highlander or Saturn VUE. Hybrids are really going to come into their own when they are offered in Light Trucks and SUVs. There will be serious gas milage savings.

From what I've read all of the Prius that Toyota is offering in the U.S. have been sold. And they're even supplying an extra 25% to the U.S. market. It obviously has been a hit with the American public. It was named car of the year for 2004.
