I agree with Krauthammer. The operant label for Dean isn't liberal or moderate, or extremist. It's nutcase.

What can Carl Rove say that will convince people that a fervent budget balancer like Dean is more extreme than budget-busting Bush? Bush spent every cent in the US treasury on special interest pork. What a disaster.

Dean wants healthcare for all americans, that didn't play well with Hillary but here we are ten years later and in this recession or jobs depression or whatever it is, 10 million people have been added to the uninsured ranks. We have a crisis now and we didn't have one then.

I don't get where the extremism label gets applied to Dean. He is anti war, is that the problem?

Dean will be branded as a far-left socialist pinko weak on defense and catering to gays and Naderite wackos. You think they did a job on Dukakis just wait for what they'd do to Dean. He'll fight back but he cannot erase the facts, that he's running from the left, for the left, by the left and 90% of his supporters are angry leftists. That doesn't sell in Peoria.
