Wes Clark could still be the nominee. But he's not there yet. He needs to win some big primaries, stay even or better with Dean nationally and get some big endorsements.

The way things look right now, as opposed to what the short-sighted media is saying, I would say Gore is the odds-on favorite now. Unless he's chicken or something. Can't imagne him turning down a stress-free nomination.

I saw Clark interviewed shortly after his candidacy announcement. He said if the White House had returned his calls, he would be committed to Republican party & Pres Bush's re-election right now. They did not, but Democrats did return his phone call, so he became a Democrat. There's a person of real commitment & strong principals.
