'Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France to the French...What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct...If they [the Jews] must look to the Palestine of geography as their national home, it is wrong to enter it under the shadow of the British gun. A religious act cannot be performed with the aid of the bayonet or the bomb. They can settle in Palestine only by the goodwill of the Arabs... As it is, they are co-sharers with the British in despoiling a people who have done no wrong to them. I am not defending the Arab excesses. I wish they had chosen the way of non-violence in resisting what they rightly regard as an unacceptable encroachment upon their country. But according to the accepted canons of right and wrong, nothing can be said against the Arab resistance in the face of overwhelming odds.'

... gee i wish some doofus partisan from the other side would show up on these threads .... all we ever get are zionists and third-party spectators

Israel is indeed an entity onto itself if it chooses to ignore the existence of its minorities

It doesn't fricking ignore them. There are one million Israeli Arabs. They are citizens. They vote. What a moronic argument. They went so far during the Oslo years to embrace "two peoples sharing a land" that it practically expunged Zionism from the curriculum, but you dug up some pamphlet from who knows where, so you know better. Sheesh.

Meanwhile, Yasser was teaching the Palestinian schoolkids that there is no greater glory than strapping explosives onto yourself and growing up to be a shaheed. The PA textbooks don't have Israel on the map, and talk about "our cities" of Jaffa and Haifa, ignoring the existence of Tel Aviv. Shall we talk about whom they're ignoring - or do you agree with them? Wake up and check out your political bedfellows, KC!
