<<And what was Bush doing about terrorism before 9-11? Was he tracking bin Laden? Reports on bin Ladens plans were in his daily briefings from day one. What did Bush do to derail bin Laden?>>

We all saw what Bush did. After 8 months in Washington he took a month long vacation.

While the hijackers were finalizing their attack plans, Bush was clearing brush and playing with his dog on his ranch.

Wonder if bin Laden saw that no progress was being made in Palestine and decided to launch the attack on 9-11 to wake up America?
...
I think it goes without saying that if Bush would have seen our responsibility to keep the pressure on Israel and Palestine to find a peaceful end, that bin Laden might not have directed 9-11 to go forward.

Your ridiculous, irrational, unsupported, and unsupportable contentions would be laughable, if the subject matter weren't literally a matter of life and death.

Here's a list of activities concerning the Middle East from the State Department for just one month, June 2001, alone, with links to other months. Knock yourself out. usembassy-israel.org.il

OH? That's the first time that's been reported anywhere on earth. Please share your source.

But why are you in denial about Bush's lack of working towards peace in the middle east? And what was Bush doing about terrorism before 9-11?

I've been told time and again, on this very thread, that Bill Clinton left both the US and the world in a secure and peaceful state, with nothing left to worry about but counting our stock profits. Bush shouldn't have had to do anything but coast on Clinton's success.

Are you now telling me that I was misled?

Not true. The ONLY road to peace in the Middle East is through the destruction of the Muslim terrorist groups and those that harbor or support them. Bush has accomplished quite a bit fighting against Muslim terrorism in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, and in other Middle Eastern countries.

That is why the first step of the Road Map calls for the destruction of the Muslim terrorist groups in the West Bank and Gaza.

Until the Muslim terrorist groups, worldwide, are destroyed or incapacitated, all democracies are threatened.
