A technical question here for you dear guru...

Is it true that when you have a limit sell order on a stock (say way above the market) the brokerage house can`t lend the stock to shorts?

Say I have a sell order on NEM at 70.00 when the stock trades at 47.00 , the broker still can`t supply those shares to someone who wants to short and borrow shares?
