I'm sure you never got help from anyone in your life.

Think this through, and note the implied basis of the gratitude you think I owe. The basis is "HELP." Yes, I owe gratitude to those who have given me benefit. To such people, I pay gratitude. I do not owe a single farthing to those who provide no benefit to me.

I'm sure the social standing you were born in to had nothing to do with your success.

Then to whom do I owe gratitude for this social standing? My parents? I express gratitude to them. But I owe no such gratitude to some homeless guy. I owe not a shred of gratitude to you, to any nameless politician or party. I owe not a single bit of gratitude to any American worker merely because he is American. If you disagree here, then please present to me the basis for me indebtedness to Americans. There is none.

I'm sure you paid for your own college, if you went...

I have quite a substantial amount of education, due to my parents. I am filled with gratitude for what they have given me.
