Steve,
Hi!!

RE: Hello,
on a completely different topic. I ordered a new Dell 3GHZ, 240GB, 1GB memory system last week and was expecting to receive it this week. just got mail from Dell saying I would not receive this until jan 7, 2004.

Sorry...I have no idea...At least you're getting the best... :o) But, I'd be shocked if that was the real date that you received one...

Best, kemble

Steve,

Dell's web site is showing a preliminary ship date for systems similar to yours as 12.19.2003 Certain options delay shipment; the 1703 ultrasharp LCD display delays shipment for 12 days. I've gotten such e-mails from DELL delaying shipment for weeks only to have the items arrive much much sooner. Maybe its DELL's way of covering their a$$ during the busy holiday season.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

I ordered a 19" LCD Monitor from Dell as was told I would receive it by Dec.9. Now I'm told it will be shipped on Dec. 22. Dell told me that they are having problems receiving the monitors from their suppliers.

Last year Dell did the same thing to me so my wife's Xmas present didn't arrive until after the holidays. Well, I've learned two lessons. First, Dell promises and doesn't deliver, second, buy my next computer, and peripherals from a local store.

For some reasons, Dell is going down the "tubes". Service, tech support, phone systems all "stink".

Oh well, this is JMO.
